Michael D. Ragaini, age 61, beloved husband of 31 years to Cheryl A. (Duro) Ragaini, entered peaceful rest on Friday, Sept. 12, 2014 at Griffin Hospital, Derby.
He was the son of Ottavio Ragaini of Seymour and the late Marion (Hatstat) Ragaini and was born on August 11, 1953 in Waterbury. Mr. Ragaini was a U. S. Air Force veteran and served during the Vietnam Era. He was a Quality Assurance Inspector for the Federal Government, Department of Defense with 44 years of service before his retirement. He was known as “The Softball Dad” to many with the George Hummel Little League, Girls Softball. He was an avid reader, self taught guitar player and avid bird watcher and also enjoyed bowling, camping, golfing and gardening.
In addition to his devoted wife he leaves his four loving daughters, Michelle Cerrigione and her husband, Matthew of Ellington, Cora, Meryl, and Cathryn Ragaini all of Seymour and two brothers, Ronald Ragaini and his wife Judy of Meriden and Richard Ragaini of Prospect and two nephews, Bryan and Richard Ragaini and godson, James Duro.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, Sept. 15 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 6:00 p.m. at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Committal will be private. For directions or to share a memory please go only to www.hullfh.com
