RESCHEDULED Mrs. Deborah "Debbie" Vashlishan, age 58, of Oxford, beloved wife of the late Ronald G. Vashlishan, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, MA.
She was born on August 20, 1954 in Scranton, PA and was the daughter of the late Joseph A. Ravina, Sr. and June (Snyder) Ravina. Mrs. Vashlishan was a Registered Nurse at Griffin Hospital in Derby for over 30 years before her illness. She was an active member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church where she was on the Stewardship Committee and a Bereavement Group Leader. She was also a Girl Scout Leader for many years. Debbie lived her life with kindness, courage, and faith.
Mrs. Vashlishan is survived by two devoted daughters, Amy Vashlishan Murray and her husband Shane, and Tera Ravina Hatler and her husband Kyle, and two grandsons, Jackson Murray and RJ Hatler. Her brother, Joseph A. Ravina, Jr. and sister in law, Helen Ravina predeceased her.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 11:15 a.m. at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 733 Oxford Road, Oxford. Interment will be held in private. Family and friends may call prior from 9:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at the funeral home.
