SEYMOUR, CT: Christine Marie Hayden, age 52 entered peaceful rest on July 22, 2016 at the Waterbury Hospital; she was married to Robert G. Hayden, Jr. Christine was born February 21, 1964 in Milford, beloved daughter of Paul E. and Carol (Wyberg) Shortell of Woodbury. Christine was a self employed caregiver; she was formerly employed by Life Touch, and Sikorsky Aircraft. She had a genuine love of animals and passionately worked to rehabilitate animals when she found them hurt or lame. Christine also did volunteer work at the Ansonia Animal Shelter.
Christine also leaves her loving family including, her daughters, Shaye Hayden and her fiance' Frederick Haddad, and Casey Hayden both of Seymour, her step-son, Robbie Hayden, grandchildren, Braxton, Troy and Genovese, and in-laws, Robert and Helen Hayden, and extended family from Glen Circle. Her brother Paul Shortell, III predeceased her. She will be missed immensely for she was truly loved by all.
Calling Hours are Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St., Seymour. A Funeral Service in celebration of Christine's life will be held Wednesday at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Mount Saint Peter Cemetery, Derby.
