Mrs. Fiore Eighmie, age 90, of Seymour, beloved wife of the late John Meyer Eighmie, entered peaceful rest on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at The Lutheran Home of Southbury.
She was the daughter of the late Frank and Luisa (Biasin) Rota and was born on Nov. 2, 1923 in Derby. Mrs. Eighmie was a graduate of Seymour High School, Class of 1942 and Waterbury Hospital, School of Nursing in 1945. She worked as a registered nurse for Dr. Casagrande and Dr. Hansen and also worked as a substitute nurse for American Brass, Kerite and Seymour Manufacturing. She was a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd and alumni of Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing.
Mrs. Eighmie is survived by her devoted children, Joan Rinkewith and her husband JC and Thomas Eighmie and his wife Barbara all of Seymour, grandchildren, Jonathan Rinkewith, Elizabeth (Anthony) Marcucio, Joshua Eighmie and Sarah (Mark) Brousseau and great grandchildren, AJ & Natalie Marcucio and Parker Brousseau. The family would like to thank the Lutheran Home of Southbury for the kind and excellent care for Fiore over the last few months.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 6 at 9:15 a.m. at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Seymour. Interment in St. Augustine Cemetery, Seymour. Family and friends may call on Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Rd. Seymour, CT 06483.
