Mrs. Ellen Dorothy (Pedersen) Neubaum, age 68, of Lakeland, FL and formerly of Seymour, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born Sept. 9, 1945 in Waterbury, Connecticut to Egedius and Gladys Pedersen. She was a Hillsborough County Court Clerk and retired after 18 years and a member of the North Lakeland Presbyterian Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother and friend taken from this life far too early. Her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren, and she loved to read. Ellen was sent up to God after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, James T. Neubaum; sons James M. Neubaum and wife Jamie Lyesa of Plant City, FL and Brian M. Neubaum and wife Jodi of Oxford, CT; daughters, Rebecca A. Neubaum and future son in law Mark Petroulakis of Lakeland, FL; brother, John Pedersen of Naugatuck, CT; sister, Gay Farrow of Columbus, GA; loving grandchildren, Loran A. Neubaum, Olivia N. Neubaum, Alexander J. Provencher, Zachary E. Neubaum, Kaitlyn Sparks, Kati Barbieri, Jami Barbieri; and various loving friends, in-laws, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. The visitation will be Saturday, May 24 from 10-11 AM at the North Lakeland Presbyterian Church, funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM at the church.
