I have known the Meholik family for many many years, back to when Ann & Stan lived on Bank Street in Seymour. Stanley and Carol were childhood friends and then everyone began their own lives and moved on. I did not know you directly but the name of "Stosh" will never be forgotten... God Bless Your Immediate Family and others that I grew up with.

Stan, I've never met any of your family, though I was hoping to meet them this summer at our 50th high school reunion. I just today heard of your loss. I too have a son and can't imagine what you must be going thru but I did want to let you know there are others who feel your pain. Certainly it won't bring your son back but somehow I do feel that knowing others are concerned can help, if only a little bit. My sister and brother-in-law live, as you do, in Seymour and yesterday saw the horse drawn hearse carrying your son's casket. What a fitting tribute! My best to all your family. Stanley and Gloria ~ I read your son's obituary in our paper and was shocked. I am so sorry for your loss. I didn't know your son but I'm sure he will be missed by many. I wish Stosh could have hung in there a bit longer, met him through my husband Joe who went to school with Heidi Stosh's wife..I had taken all he tests to give him part of my liver, and pretty much it was good to go, just waiting for doctors to say it is a go. One more month would have done it,I believe, but God decided he wanted him instead, so I only got to know Stosh for a very short time, and glad to have met him, one of the nicest people I have ever met. Rest in Peace my friend..Fly with the angels.....

Stosh, You just sent me an email a few weeks ago through Heidi's FB.. I was happy to have heard from you!! You were a one of a kind guy. I have known you for years and I was your "Little Squirt"! That's what you always called me whenever I would see you! Probably because I always tried to tag along with the guys and I was much shorter than you! Never the less, I will never hear you call me that again.. I will never forget when you and Lynne lived up in Maine and we found out it was down the road from the family camp on Center Pond! Tim and I came over to visit and Christopher was sitting in his car seat on the picnic table and so was Sara! They just kept looking at each other and we laughed saying oh boy!! Good times and great memories are all we have now. You are at peace now and for all who have had the pleasure of knowing you, we all have a new Angel watching over us all! I remember my first Meholik pigroast, Memorial day weekend 1997..me an Stosh pulled an all-nighter; he entrusted me the "pig guard" to wake him up every hour or so , so we could flip the 250 lb pig(or so it felt),,,and on and on into the night; and the next day.....finally he and I crashing on the front lawn side by side, and lynne giving us pillows and blankeys....and covering us with the kiddy beach tent.... and I remember a crazy roadtrip to Fryeburg Maine, in my ld plymout voyager; up and back in one shot; to get a pig to cook....and I rememeber Stosh trying to teach me how to trim a horse(him a much better teacher than I was a student)...and the horseshows...and the fence mending....and throwing hay with Johnny Sears and his wife and dughters(ugh) and I remember sending you a bigbook and 24 hour coin, thanksgiving 2009 Stosh...and my hope is that in a quiet moment, you had a chance to leaf through it; and in it find some solace and peace and serenity to know - that you were not so unique...and you were not alone my brother...on your journey....and I will miss you but will walk in faith that we will meet again, some sunny day.....your pal, Bedford
