Obituary for Charles H. Schiavi
OXFORD: Charles “Charlie” H. Schiavi, age 79 of Oxford, beloved husband of the late Lynn (Domareck) Schiavi, entered peaceful rest on Monday, March 13, 2023 in Griffin Hospital. Born in Derby on October 13, 1943, he was a son of the late Tino and Alice (Jensen) Schiavi.
A retired well driller for Boyd Artesian, Charlie was a veteran of the US Army. He enjoyed vacationing in Maine and was an avid NASCAR fan. He could always be found gardening, but not weeding, and loved hosting parties.
Survivors include his loving children, C. Todd Schiavi and his wife Janelle of Guilford, and Tacia Neumann and her husband Marc of Seymour; 3 adored grandchildren, Avery Vera Neumann, Braydon A. Schiavi and Dia Lynn Schiavi; siblings, Richard Schiavi, Edward Schiavi, James Schiavi and Nancy Dytko, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services celebrating Charlie’s life will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 11 am in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St. Seymour, CT 06483. Interment with full military honors will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Oxford. Relatives and friends can greet the family Tuesday morning from 9:30am until the time of services.
