SEYMOUR - George H. Shelton, Jr., age 75 of Seymour, entered peaceful rest on Sunday, January 29, 2023 in Bristol Hospital following a period of illness. George was born at home in Shelton, CT to the late George, Sr. and Doris (Hande) Shelton. He attended school in Shelton and married Paula Potosky in 1980 in Seymour. George worked many jobs and gained many skills, including woodworking, auto repair, electrical work, etc. He retired from Vitorinox Swiss Army after approximately 30 years at their Shelton warehouse. Throughout his life, he enjoyed deer hunting and working on and racing cars, both at the former Danbury Race Track and Stafford Motor Speedway. George was a devoted husband and father and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Paula; daughters, Janine and Jocelyn of Seymour; sisters, Virginia Allen and Desi Piersanti and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, and sisters, Carolyn "Sissy" Kershaw and Faye Parker. Services will be at the convenience of the family and the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour, CT 06483 has been entrusted with his services. Memorial donations can be made to the family through the funeral home.
