We, his family, would like to add, that although this was an unexpected passing, we take comfort in his peace. Joe was very involved in advocating for the rights of the disabled and was a genuinely sweet and caring human being. He was a friend to all, strong in his beliefs and he loved his family unconditionally, as we loved him; he will be greatly missed.
