Obituary for Brianna Hughes
OXFORD: Brianna Y. Hughes, age 17 of Oxford, beloved daughter of John and Nancy (Rapuano) Kurdy, entered peaceful rest on Sunday, December 1, 2019. Born in Derby on July 4, 2002, she was a senior in Naugatuck High School. A talented artist, Brianna loved to draw and also enjoyed cheerleading. She will be remembered for her love of animals, especially her dog, Rocco.
In addition to her parents, survivors include her brothers, John (Becky) Kurdy, Ed (Kacie) Kurdy, and Rob (Kristie) Kurdy; great grandmothers, Shirley Kurdy and Theresa Raccio; grandma, Madeleine Gleason; uncles, Daniel (Chelsea) Rapuano and Jordan Gleason, as well as her cousins, Jasmine Bohlan and Emry Rapuano. She was predeceased by her mother, Krystal Rapuano.
Calling hours will take place on Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 3pm to 7pm in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations in Brianna’s name can be made to the SPCA of Connecticut, 359 Spring Hill Rd. Monroe, CT 06468 .
