Obituary for John A. Ramirez
SEYMOUR – John A. Ramirez, age 91 of Seymour, beloved husband of the late Phyllis (Smith) Ramirez, entered peaceful rest on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 in Branford Hospice. Born in Brooklyn, NY on August 3, 1928, he was a son of the late Arthur and Mary (Sierchio) Ramirez. A proud veteran of the US Army, John served his country honorably during post WWII and the Korean War. He loved ballroom dancing, history, was an avid reader and especially enjoyed watching sunsets on the beach.
Survivors include his loving granddaughters, Breanna Piekarski of MA, and Taylor Rae Dahn of Oxford, as well as his dear friend, Joy Thompson. John was predeceased by his daughter, Phyllis Ann Piekarski and her husband Joseph, as well as his son, William A. Ramirez.
The Ralph Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St. Seymour, CT 06483 has been entrusted with his arrangements and all services will be private at the convenience of the family.
