Obituary for Robert J. "Bob" Thom

Robert J. "Bob" Thom, age 83 of Windsor, formerly of Southington and Seymour, he entered into peaceful rest on February 6, 2018 at Hartford Hospital. Mr. Thom was born January 24, 1935 in Bridgeport, son of the late James and Edith Thom. Bob was a U.S. Navy Veteran, and a retired Master Printer of America. He worked at Kurt H. Volk, Inc for over 35 years. He was a member of the Great Hill United Methodist Church, Seymour; Bob was an avid sports fan, especially of the Boston Red Sox, the New England Patriots, and UCONN Women's Basketball teams. He will be fondly remembered as " a loving father and grandfather".

Mr. Thom leaves his loving family including a son, David Thom (Norma) of Worcester, MA, his daughters, Barbara Thom of Seymour, Jamie Thom of Windsor, and Bobbie-Lynn Reska (Michael) of Groton; his grandchildren, Laurie Moreno (Robert), Carynne Thom, Kate Franson (Brandon), April Bramley (Michael), Julianne Thom, Michael James and Paisley Reska, and Millie Francis Thom; his great grandchildren, Sarah, Tyler, Addie, Tanner, Oliver, Asher, and Ainsley; his nieces, Betsy Kent and Debi Sandfort; also his beloved cats, Willie, Waylon, and Blake. A special thank you to his caregiver, Dee Gayle-Goffe. His son, James Edward Thom, and sister, Ruth Kent predeceased him.

Calling Hours are Sunday from 2 - 4 p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour.
