Kathleen A. (Resler) Spiers, age 89 of Oxford, beloved wife of the late Donald “Mickey” Spiers, entered peaceful rest on Sunday, November 12, 2017 in CT Hospice, Branford. Born in Stamford on November 25, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Komenak) Resler.

A devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Kathleen loved cooking, reading, square dancing, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a world traveler and also enjoyed vacationing in Arizona and weekend travels to Round Point, ME. An avid sports fan, Mrs. Spiers enjoyed watching the NY Yankees and NASCAR.

She is survived by her sons, James Spiers and his wife Virginia of Norwalk, and Edward Spiers and his wife Catherine of Beacon Falls; daughter-in-law, Maureen Spiers of Milford; as well as 6 cherished grandchildren, Brian, Jessica, April, Kevin, Cody, and Justin, as well as his adored great granddaughter, Charlotte Rose. In addition to her husband of 70 years, she was predeceased by her son, Donald E. Spiers.
