Life Story for Andree Charchenko Sr.

OXFORD, CT: Andree Charchenko, Sr., age 90 of Oxford entered peaceful rest on October 5, 2017 at the Griffin Hospital, Derby; he was the beloved husband of 64 years to Helen (Demchar) Charchenko. Mr. Charchenko was born August 19, 1927 in Waterbury, son of the late Fred and Anna (Sulsa) Charchenko. Andree was a communicant of Three Saints Orthodox Church, Ansonia. He was a retired Automotive Collision Insurance Adjuster, having been self employed, and working for Nationwide and Aetna Insurance Companies. Mr. Charchenko also loved the outdoors, especially time spent at Cape Cod watching the water from his porch; he also loved gardening and golf.

In addition to his wife, Andree leaves his loving family including, his son, Andree Charchenko, Jr. and his wife Randall of Redmond, WA, and his daughter, Daria Kamford of Darien; also his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Matthew and Nicholas Charchenko, and Gregory and Charlotte Kamford.

Calling Hours are Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the Three Saints Orthodox Church, (DIRECTLY TO CHURCH) 26 Howard Ave., Ansonia. Interment will follow in Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour.
