Linda Smerekanicz, age 63 of Seymour, entered peaceful rest on Sunday, January 15, 2017. Born in Derby on February 17, 1953, she was the daughter of the late William and Alma (Spader) Smerekanicz. A retired photographer, Linda was involved in the Marine Corp. Post of Seymour, as well as the Disabled American Women Veterans (DAV). She is survived by her brother, Bill Smerekanicz of KY, and many dear friends. A memorial gathering in her honor will take place on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 10 a.m. DIRECTLY in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. There will be no calling hours.
