SEYMOUR, CT: Henry Hook, age 86 of Seymour, passed away on October 30, 2016 ; he was the beloved husband of the late Ruth (Knapp) Hook. Mr. Hook was born November 24, 1929 in Charleston, WV, son of the late Nick and Mary (Roman) Hook. Henry was a United States Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War where he served for four years, and received a Medal of Good Conduct. He retired from Uniroyal Chemical Co., Naugatuck after 44 years of service. Henry was an avid supporter of the Boy Scouts of America, leading the boys of Troop 11 in several high adventure excursions.
Henry leaves his loving family including, a son, Henry Hook (Diane) of Oxford, and a daughter, Rhona Walsh (James, Jr) of Seymour; his grandchildren, Karry Fiddler of Pueblo, CO, Teresa Walsh (Aaron Faulkner) of Seymour, James Walsh, III (Jennifer) of Ansonia, and Tina Halpin (Andrew) of Ansonia; 15 great grandchildren, Ashley Lewis, Cassie Lewis, Breanna Walsh, Megan Lewis, Chyenne Blackwell, Pierce Blackwell, Bryce Hastings, Mia Kelly, Aleczander Walsh, Sapphire Mazako, Samantha Walsh, Savannah Mazako, Hailey Kelly, Bailey Halpin, and Baby Boy Halpin. His brothers, Peter and Edward predeceased him.
Calling Hours will be Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will follow in Mountain Meadows Cemetery.
