Obituary for Milija Anufrijevas (Rusinova)

– Milija (Rusinova) Anufrijevas, age 91 of Oxford, entered peaceful rest on Sunday, September 25, 2016 in Griffin hospital with family by her side. She was born in Ukraine on January 8, 1925 and immigrated to the United States around 1950 after being liberated from Germany in 1944. Milija worked for the Slimfit Company (Shelton) as a seamstress for many years until retirement. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and reading. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Bridgeport. Milija is survived by her son, Vladas (Walter) Anufrijevas and his wife Kristie of CO; brothers, Dmitri and Walter Rusinova, both of Ukraine; 6 grandchildren, including her granddaughter, Mandy A. Dean whom were extremely close and her husband Ken of Oxford; 10 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Anufrijevas and her son, Leonard Anufrijevas. Services have been entrusted to the Ralph Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St. Seymour. There will be no calling hours and interment will be at the convenience of the family.
