OXFORD, CT: Daniel Richard "Danny" Edwards, Jr., age 49 of Oxford entered peaceful rest on July 19, 2015 at Yale New Haven Hospital; he was the beloved husband of Nancy (Beamer) Edwards. Mr. Edwards was born on January 5, 1966 in Derby, loving son of Carol (Giovacchino) Edwards of Oxford, and the late Daniel R. Edwards, Sr.
Danny was employed by Guerrera Construction Company, Oxford as a Heavy Machine Operator. Daniel was a 1985 graduate of Nonnewaug High School, Woodbury. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Danny could always be found tinkering in his garage. Danny loved watching and listening to his daughters singing. Shelby was the light in his eyes. Loved country music. Hunting with his brothers and Larry. Loved having talks with his brothers. Loved his mother and Uncles dearly. Loved his cousins and family gatherings. He loved how his sister in law Paula would come to the house to cut his hair because he hated leaving home for anything. Loved his mother in law Claire's steak and mushrooms. Danny loved going to Pennsylvania to see his father in law Buddy and his step mother in law his sister in laws and brother in laws. Loved our dirt road to relax after a long day of work. Loved quad riding anytime and the best was ridding at Gazy Farm with the guys. He enjoyed welding and building things in the garage. His nieces and nephews whom he loved with all his heart. He enjoyed working with and helping his dear friend Gary when ever he could. Loved working for Joe Guerrera and the friendships he made with his co workers. Liked to watch our fish pond that he made with his brother in law John. Loved hanging out with his friend and neighbor Kyle and his family and friends. Danny was very excited about our newest next door neighbors arrival: Jacob Wade Henry. He loved the friends he made through his wife Nancy. They are not just friends he considered them family.
In addition to his wife and mother, Danny leaves his loving family including his daughter, Shelby Edwards of Oxford, his brothers, Keith and Kevin Edwards both of Oxford, his nieces and nephews, Kris, Jessie, Kara, Lyndsay, and Emily, and a great nephew, Andrew, and many devoted friends.
