Mrs. Olga A. DeCampos, age 72, beloved wife of 53 years to Justo B. DeCampos of Beacon Falls and formerly of Bridgeport, entered into eternal peace on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born on July 3, 1941 in Maricao, Puerto Rico and was the daughter of the late Celestino and Etervina (Rivera) Avila. Mrs. DeCampos was an active member of Saint Michael’s Church and also St. Peter’s Church in Bridgeport which included Pre Cana, Marriage Encounter, Cofradia and also Cursillos. She worked in electronics at Sikorsky Aircraft and was also a Mary Kay Consultant for many years.
In addition to her devoted husband, Mrs. DeCampos leaves three loving sons, John (Maria) DeCampos, Anthony (Martie) DeCampos and Edgar (Charlene) DeCampos and 9 grandchildren, Johnny, Ashley, Melissa, Lorenzo, Marco, Anthony, Michael, Justin and Jakob all of Beacon Falls. She also leaves her siblings, Angela, Mercedes, Ramon, Celestino, Rosa, Maria, Raul, Gladys (Jose) Ramos of Stratford and several nieces and nephews. Her siblings, Saro, Jesus and Ramona predeceased her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 8, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael’s Church, 25 Maple Avenue, Beacon Falls. Interment will follow in Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour.
