Mrs. Ruth Jarratt, age 91, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Cyril E. Jarratt, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at her home.

Mrs. Jarratt was born on December 21, 1919 in Schenectady, NY and was the daughter of the late Milton and Lillian (Tribley) Bristol. She received her Bachelor’s of Education in 1940 at the Teachers College of CT. She was a cashier in the cafeteria at Stratford High School for many years before her retirement. Mrs. Jarratt was a member of the DAC and enjoyed playing in the Bridge Club.

Mrs. Jarratt is survived by her devoted son, Mark and his wife Darlene of Seymour and her devoted daughter, Amy B. Jarratt of Stratford and a great nephew, Bret Newport. Her sister, Althea Newport predeceased her.
She will also be missed by her favorite cat, Spike.

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, November 22 at 12 noon in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. There will be no calling hours.
